Meet Ruby Montez, Deaf Youth Program Coordinator
Dear Parents and Guardians,
My name is Ruby Montez, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new Deaf Youth Program Coordinator at the Sally J. Pimentel Deaf & Hard of Hearing Center.
I am very excited to join this community and to work together to support the growth, learning, and success of our Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. My goal is to ensure they feel supported, confident, and empowered both in the classroom and beyond.
I am also a proud Deaf mother of a hearing son. My son is learning American Sign Language (ASL), English, and Spanish. Through this journey, I deeply understand the experiences, challenges, and strengths of families raising children in bilingual and multicultural environments. As both a professional and a parent, I value strong partnerships with families and open communication.
I look forward to getting to know you and your children and to working together to create a positive and supportive environment for all.
