ASL Classes

Sign Language Classes

DHHC offers a variety of evening classes in American Sign Language 1-6 and ASL conversational on an ongoing basis.  Classes are held at DHHC once a week for a 6 week session.  Each class builds on one other.

EIPA Testing Info

EIPA Testing

Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment, EIPA is a tool that evaluates the voice-to-sign and sign-to voice skills of interpreters who work in the elementary through secondary classroom using videotape stimulus materials and a procedure that includes a comprehensive rating system.

The FTRI free phone program offers specialized amplified telephones that may help you end the frustration over the phone. The equipment is loaned AT NO CHARGE for as long as needed, to residents who qualify.

Sign and Sip Paint Night

 Please join us for our next "Sign and Sip" paint night on Tuesday, October 9th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. We will provide all the supplies needed to paint an 8" x 8" canvas with the ASL 'I love you" sign. You can choose from different designs and colors. We will also provide wine and snacks. Throughout the night, our awesome ASL instructor will be teaching basic signs to help you converse with the deaf community!  You may purchase your ticket in our online store. We hope to see you there!
