Deaf Awareness Day 2026

Join us at our Deaf Awareness Day Cookout hosted by the Sally J. Pimentel Deaf & Hard of Hearing Center (DHHC) at Lakes Park - 7330 Gladiolus Drive, Fort Myers, 33907 on Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 10 am - 3 pm. Enjoy food, fun, games, and crafts! Food and drinks provided. All ages are welcome. Interpreters provided at the event. Bring $5.00 for parking. Pavilion D-1

Join us for Deaf Awareness Day Cookout 2026, hosted by the Sally J. Pimentel Deaf & Hard of Hearing Center (DHHC)! This fun-filled community celebration brings together Deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, late-deafened, and hearing individuals for a day of food, friendship, and fun.

Enjoy delicious food, games, crafts, and activities for all ages while reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. This annual event celebrates National Deaf Awareness Month and the vibrant community that makes Southwest Florida such a special place.

Hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be provided. Interpreters will be available throughout the event, and everyone is welcome to attend.
